Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is Tigerfest split into two days?

Logistically, we wanted to give you MORE! In the past, Tigerfest has been one day but why not double the fun?! All the best music fests have multi-day celebrations. Not only did we want to give you music, but also games, inflatables, food, and the opportunity to win amazing prizes. Tigerfest is much more than amazing music, it's truly an experience that we didn't want to deny our amazing student body.

Q: Do I need a ticket for Day One AND Day Two?

You need a ticket for DAY TWO. For Day One, all you need is your OneCard (if you're a TU student) and your ID (if you're a non-TU student).

Q: What can't I bring to the Tigerfest concert on Day Two?

Outside food/beverages, umbrellas, large bags, animals, and weapons of any kind are NOT permitted. For a more detailed list of items that are prohibited in SECU arena, please click here

Q: What happens if there's bad weather...again?

Student safety is CAB's and the university's top priority. Please know that, for day one, should there be inclement weather, appropriate arrangements will be made and publicized on TowsonCAB social media accounts [links at the top of the screen]. However, due to the fact that Tigerfest Day Two is held in SECU Arena, the concert will go on RAIN or SHINE (yay!).

Q: How did you select the Tigerfest artist(s)?

Selecting Tigerfest performers is an in-depth, timely process. CAB tries to make sure that it selects artists and activities that not only proves to be entertaining but also that is a representation of the student body's interests. In a nut shell, we begin by issuing out our annual Tigerfest survey. The survey offers a series of questions that prompts students to tell us what they want to see for Tigerfest concerning artist choice, ticket price, festival activities, and overall Tigerfest atmosphere. From survey results, we compile the statistics. We, then, work with a music agency to match student preferences with artist availability and our specified budget. When an artists who meets all qualifications is identified, CAB then places a bid (a formal offer made to the artist) which the artist can either accept or decline. If they decline, CAB turns back to the survey results for the next best option and begins the bidding process all over again.
